19th Century Spanish Framed Repousse Silverplated on Copper "The Last Supper"

About the Item

Decorate a wall with this antique frame depicting "The Last Supper". Hand crafted in Spain circa 1880, and built with silverplated on copper, the detailed relief work showcases Christ at the center with his apostles surrounding him, all portrayed in expressive postures, adding depth and emotion to the scene. The folds of the fabric and the intricate details of the apostles' robes highlight the fine craftsmanship typical of decorative arts during this period. The frame itself complements the repoussé work with its ornate black and silver detailing, enhancing the religious and solemn nature of the artwork. This combination of intricate metalwork and decorative framing reflects the 19th-century Spanish artisans' attention to both aesthetic beauty and spiritual symbolism. The religious piece is in excellent condition with wonderful details, and adorns a rich patinated two-tone blackened and silvered finish.
