About the Item

An Exquisite German Silver Etrog Container made in the late 19th century to early 20th Century. This Etrog Container is shaped in the shape and formed to look like a realistic Etrog. Hammered diamond-shaped ridges adorn the body of the container and beautifully chased fruit and foliate motifs are embellished on its top center. A stem protrudes at the top very similar to an actual etrog. The hinged cover swings open for the placement of an etrog and it is indented at the bottom to sit stable on a flat surface. Hallmarked in the indented section at the bottom.
