About the Item

This exquisite Esther Megillah (Scroll of Esther) is encased in a meticulously handcrafted sterling silver case, made in Israel in 1950 by the renowned silversmith I.M. Fain. The case is adorned with elaborate filigree work and inlaid with multiple gemstones, reflecting a masterful blend of craftsmanship and tradition. The surface is richly decorated with raised silver beading, intricate patterns, and embossed medallions featuring symbolic motifs. The Megillah itself is written on klaf (traditional parchment) in meticulously hand-scribed Hebrew script, preserving the sacred text of the Book of Esther used during the Jewish festival of Purim. The scroll is housed securely within the case, which features an elegant locking mechanism and a cylindrical handle for easy handling and reading. This unique piece exemplifies mid-20th-century Israeli Judaica artistry and serves both as a religious artifact and a collector’s item, embodying spiritual heritage and exceptional silversmithing skills. Every item in Menorah Galleries is accompanied by a Lifetime Certificate of Authenticity and additional documentation and information regarding the individual artifact and its culture.
