Pair of Tall Italian 19th Century Silver Gilt Candlesticks from Italian Church

About the Item

A pair of large-sized 19th century Italian candlesticks. This pair of antique candlesticks, circa 1850, were originally displayed in an Italian church and feature silver gilt over exquisite hand-carved wood bodies. Each candlestick is approximately 3 foot tall and are raised up on a rectangular-shaped base, with three feet. There is a carved leaf motif which echos throughout it's design. The silver gilt has a lovely aged patina. This pair of tall Italian candlesticks from the mid-19th century would look fantastic flanking a fireplace mantel or console table, with a painting or mirror between them.
