Rare Set of Christian Art Deco Bronze Jesus, Mary & Angel Wall Plaques by Norga

About the Item

Rare set of three, good size and mint condition works of religious art. This group of three bronze works of art (deco) all depict biblical scenes and they can be placed and worshipped in all kinds of settings. Meaningful and perfectly handcrafted works of religious art like these were mostly used in monasteries, private homes, but also on the more expensive cemeteries. The one on the left depicts Mother Mary and John the Baptist as they mourn over the body of Christ right after He was taken from the cross. The bronze plaque in the middle, we believe, depicts the third station where Jesus falls for the first time. The third bronze depicts a beautiful Arch Angel kneeling by the grave. Each of these plaques is telling a story and the deeper meaning behind those stories is what connects us all, even though the larger part of humanity does not seem to realize this yet. Have you also noticed the sun with its luminating rays in all of these plaques. We believe that stands for the light that is shining on all of us, always. As you can see in our photos these stunning Norga plaques all are in the best condition possible and they have a wonderful patina. This early 20th century collection could be perfect for a home or garden shrine too and we can also make them suitable for wall mounting. All these plaques are Norga signed on the front and on the back they also have an engraved number and the measurements.
