About the Item

A rare set of two handcrafted heavy bronze door handles from an old temple in Nepal, mid-19th century. Figurative male sculptures depicting a fertiliy deity used on entry doors as a symbol to ensure fertility by touching. Please also look closely at the other details such as the facial features, arms and legs with claws. In good antique condition, great aged patina. Dimensions: Height 11.50" / width 3.25" / depth 3.50" (30 cm x 8 cm x 9 cm).
