About the Item
Examples of finials include spears, thistles, a spiked acorn, a sunburst and forked barbs. All of these accomplish their intended purpose which is to make it uncomfortable for birds to sit!
We have an assortment of original lightning rods with varying degrees of decorative embellishment. All are from circa 1870 with the exception of one aluminum tube rod from the late teens (circa 1917), the geometric shape of the amber ball showing the whiff of early Art Deco ideom.
Each is priced differently. For example, the most ornate ones with the weatervanes and balls are more expensive than the simple rod inside a tripod stand, adorned only with a spear finial.
Prices start at $225 and go to $1250.
These are wonderful decorative accessories for indoors as well as in the garden.

Dedon "Obelisk" Stacking Garden Furniture (x 2)

The Obelisk designed by Frank Ligthart for Dedon, 2008. No longer in production.
Inspired by the Neolithic menhirs of Carnac in the French region of Brittany it is composed of two pairs of matching high- and low-back lounge chairs and a conical table. The base of the table supports all the chairs when stacked into its sculptural shape for storage.
We also have available separately a near complete additional Obelisk consisting of three of the S chairs and one M chair plus the table.
Image 9 shows the complete Obelisk plus the spare table and chairs.
Best of both worlds is to have the spare set for seating together with the complete Obelisk as sculpture, until additional seating is required.
Image 8 shows the "spare" set which includes 3 "S" chairs (instead of 2) and 1 "M" chair (instead of 2) and one table base.
The discounted price for the spare set on its own is $4100.
The spare set will not stack to form the obelisk because that requires two of each chair.
