About the Item

Early 20th Century Teaching Aid Human Torso Model Mounted onto a newer looking wooden plaque this early example of a plaster and natural human fibre model would likely have been used for medical teaching purposes. It has been repainted in areas due to its age with a natural rib cage that encases a plaster internal section of a human torso. Dimensions in inches: H 26” x W 16” x D 7” Age: 1920 – 1940 Origin: Unknown Condition: Fair Item Condition This object has been bought together in sections we believe. The natural fibre rib cage encases repainted plaster internal human organs as shown. The wooden plaque is newly added and stained painted. With light loss in areas and the ribs are attached with brass nails which make them a tad loss. We strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. A direct message usually takes 24 hours to answer. For multiple years we have sold antique items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items only restored due to breaks and major loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
