About the Item
Zeiss Ikon Contina Camera with Novar-Anastigmat 45mm F3.5 Prontor SVS.
Zeiss Ikon Contina 35mm RF style camera with a 45mm f/3.5 Novar-Anastigmat prime lens.
Cosmetically in great condition.
Condition: Shutter works.
The original leather case shows some wear has the owner name inside and the leather stripe on one side is missing.
Not tested with film.
Sold for decoration purpose, nice collectible camera circa 1950.
This solid and well-made camera was manufactured from 1954-1958. It is fitted with a Novar-Anastigmat 45mm f/3.5 lens in a Prontor SVS shutter.
The Contina Ia is a rigid-bodied 35mm viewfinder camera, and the simplest of the Contina range, which were all popular cameras.
It was the successor to the earlier Contina I, a folding camera, itself previously named the Ikonta 35.
