Stuffed Heron Mounted on Rectangular Base
About the Item
Stuffed heron. Mounted on a gray and green rectangular base. The bird has a long, curved neck, with feathers in shades of gray, white and black. The head displays a slight tuft of bristly feathers and a thin, elongated beak, orange in color. His eyes are fixed, keeping a watchful gaze.
The wings are folded along the body, with the plumage well preserved, although some areas show signs of wear. The legs are long and thin, yellowish in color, with dark, sharp claws. The base allows the piece to remain balanced and in an upright position. Taxidermy, despite being well done, reveals signs of aging. This piece may have been used for educational purposes, decorative purposes, or as part of a stuffed animal collection.
