About the Item
Beautiful mood light featuring a rare and unusual antique marine natural taxidermy specimen of a porcupine fish. It belongs to the family Diodontidae, order Tetraodontiformes, and is often called a pufferfish. It is closely related to the adorable puffy pufferfish, but it has a secondary defense mechanism consisting of sharp spines that radiate outward when inflated.
This well-preserved exotic specimen is stuffed and mounted on a simple wooden base with a lighting mechanism.
This is a captivating decorative item, captivating curiosity, quirkiness and enchanting coastal setting.
