About the Item
This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian freeform biomorphic glass tiny bubbles bowl / ashtray cigarette cup and lighter paperweight, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. It was made by Alfredo Barbini, and very similar items can be seen in the book "Italian Glass, Century 20" by Leslie Pina. In a stunning combination of creamy white lattimo glass cased in clear glass, with gold leaf inclusions.

- Condition:Minor fading. Glass is excellent, the brass coting finish on the lighter has some finish losses, lighter is solid brass and would polish. Functioning with a new flint. Wick is original.
