About the Item
This antique cigarette case is unsigned by the maker, but presumed to have originated from Japan and date to approximately 1920 and done in the period Japanese Export style. The case is composed of metal with a hinged back and clasp and features detailed decoration of a landscape and Mt. Fuji on the front and a stylized dragon on the back, done in the traditional damascene. The case is in very good period condition with minor edge wear and the hinges and clasp work as intended.
