Antique Japanese Damascene Komai Styled Yellow Gold Decorated Cigarette Case

About the Item

This antique Japanese cigarette case is signed by an unknown artist, and dates to approximately 1920 and done in an Anglo-Japanese style. This damascene styled cigarette case is done with oxidized metal and decorated with a well executed Japanese landscape on the front. The back corner appears to be signed by the artist with a small notation of "24 Karat Gold" underneath. The hinges and clasp work well and as intended.
