This rare Art Deco smoking stand by FrankArts, crafted in the United States circa 1935, exemplifies the refined glamour and functional elegance of the Art Deco era.
The stand features a slender, patinated bronze base with a nude woman standing tall and holding a minimal tray in outstretched arms, with an elegant and vibrant posture. The bronze showcases a rich, darkened finish with a subtle sheen. In Front of her feat set within the bronze base is a rectangular hand glazed ceramic tray with a two-toned dripped motif of olive and jade green. Every detail of this smoking stand is thoughtfully considered and executed, resulting in a piece that transcends its utilitarian purpose to become a sculptural object. Signed on the undersurface of the ceramic tray.
