About the Item

A Columbia production dirigible cigarette desk box. This is a rare desk box of a Dirigible Cigarette Pack Holder created in America during the art deco period. This is a novelty item from the 1931 Columbia Production movie, "Dirigible.” Dirigible is an American Adventure Movie directed by Frank Capra for Columbia Pictures, starring Jack Holt, Ralph Graves, and Fay Wray. We have found that these Promotional Cigarette holders were only handed out to the top people involved in the movie production. Because this Dirigible Cigarette Holder was not mass-produced as movie merchandise for the general population, it is very rare. Made of die-cast spelter metal. The box still retains its original surface and, on the inside, a removable box that holds the bottom of the cigarette box. This Rare Dirigible Promotional Cigarette Holder is in good original condition, with wonderful eye appeal. This is a highly collector's item.
