About the Item
An unusual, rare pair of hand painted floor standing ashtrays, probably Asian, mid/late 19th Century. Highly decorative with hand painted floral decoration on Gesso.
Not an exact pair, one dark blue and the other in black with slight variation in pattern. Both of similar size and proportions.
Some burn marks to the original bowls, copper inset bowls added later, very well made.
Would also make a very stylish pair of Candle Holders.
