This Early 19th Century pair of magnificent tobacco boxes on stand, beautifully marries functionality and aestetics, showcasing the excellent craftsmanship of Venetian cabinetmakers in theirs refined inlaid of figures of smoking men and women. The body of this rare tobacco boxes, embodies an exquisite inlaid in blondy pearwood, that runs all over the round surface giving a sense of fuidity. The corpus is devided into the boxes, that are the cases containing the tobacco, and the standing base in solid cheer wood. These pieces hail from the Early 19th Century and were created by the Master Venetian cabinetmakers. Referring bibliography: "Mille mobili Veneti" vol III Artioli Editore Modena 2002, fig. 168 pag. 307. Translated in "Thousand of Venetian pieces of furniture" by Clara Santini , one of the most important Italian expert in Venetian furniture, The pieces are in very good state of maintenance and they are guaranteed original in every parts. The surface was only cleaned not restored and it is original. The pair of tobacco boxes on stand has the Certificate of Authenticity. The documents will be shown on demand in case of interest.
