About the Item
Very beautiful, pure Art Deco smoking set, astray with cigarette box, designed with an elephant head, made of Bakelite.
The object was probably made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s.
This early piece combines an ashtray, a cigarette box and a match holder in one object.
The elephant's head functions as a lid, lifting to reveal the cigarette box inside. Inside is also the sign of Gummon, with a number 2744. The pure art deco form, which stands out from other objects, is impressive.
Measurements approx.: height in open condition: 6,69 in - cm, in closed condition height 3,94 in - 10 cm, width 7,87 in - 20 cm, depth 3,74 in - 9,5 cm.
