About the Item

This large antique humidor is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Austria and date to approximately 1900 and done in the period Black Forest style. This well executed sculptural humidor is done in pine and depicts a very angry bear holding a barrel. the head and the top of the barrel are hinged which flip open to reveal the storage areas for both the tobacco and matches.
