About the Item
Gorgeous vintage Murano hand blown glittery copper Aventurine flecks Italian art glass corseted pinch waist decorative lighter. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini. The lighter has a golden / brass color mechanism. It does not spark, but there does not seem to be any issue with the mechanics. It needs a wick and fluid. The lighter has a white ring around its waist. Of interest to Tobacciana collectors. Would make a great display piece on any desk or coffee table. Making it available as a decorative art glass item. Mid-century era. Measures 6 7/8" tall x 3" wide at the base.

Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
