About the Item
This old Trovascope is also known as the Ernest Trova Falling Man kaleidoscope. It contains tiny human figures plus random bits and bobs that form magical images when held up to the light and twisted.
Designed by Ernest Trova. New York: Museum of Modern Art, 1974. Kaleidoscope in printed cardboard cylinder, further housed in a silver-paper covered protective cylinder box with metal ends.
In good vintage condition especially considering the materials used. Works well and is a great piece of Mid Century Modern history.
