About the Item

Kokeshi with Camellias, made in the 1990 by Usaburo. Elegant kokeshi with a camellia adorned kimono. Camellia is a winter flower. Very good condition, with its sticker. The kokeshi in few words ? Handmade in Japan, these dolls come from the Tohoku region, which has lots of natural hot springs and where they were sold as souvenirs to the tourists. They come in a variety of shapes, colors, sizes and decorations, from the most traditional one to the most creative one, and the craftsmen who make them are awarded (among which the coveted Prime Minister Award) for the most beautiful kokeshi of the year.
