Mid-20th Century Papier Mache German Toy Every now and again an item comes along that is very special, this is one of those items. Of museum quality this mid-20th Century German papier mache toy aims to illustrate the surrender of Nazi Germany in a playful manner. Sat in the form of a German military helmet with the words “ Kamarade” painted across it are 7 hand crafted soldier figures, with their hands raised in surrender. A brilliant piece of war memorabilia and rare survivor considering how much it would have been used and its fragile material. This item belongs in a German war museum due to its subject matter, in our humble opinion. Size in inches: H 7” x W 10” x D 5” Age: Mid – 20th Century Origin: German Material: Papier Mache Completely solid in structure and form without any breaks, aged naturally across all the surfaces including missing painted areas, as shown in the photos provided. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas of this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase.
