About the Item

A charming rustic, handmade, vintage French Finch bird trapping cage, capable of catching two birds independently. This piece works beautifully with flowers as a table center or as a shop display piece. The bird lands on the trap to feed from the small food tray and it’s weight causes the lid to drop down, trapping the bird inside. Painted the typical green and made of tin and wood, showing a lovely time-worn patina. The two bait stands are loosely attached with wire. The two side traps open from above, the center area has a swing-out door with a wire closure, a top wire carrying handle and a branch perch. Measures: 21 in. L x 7 in. W x 8.5 in. H Surface wear and light rust as is expected. Appropriate distressed condition with wonderful patina.
