Antonio da Ros handmade glass sculptural bookends, circa 1960 Absolutely beautiful vintage 1960s bookends by noted Italian glass master Antonio da Ros. This matching pair measures 4" x 3 1/4" at the base x 7 1/4" high. Each bookend weighs 6lbs 7oz. They are in excellent vintage condition and will look amazing on your desk, in your curio, or on your bookcase. Simply the best! In 1958, Antonio Da Ros, a graduate of the Venice Art Institute, began working at Cenedese, bringing a vital and enthusiastic approach to glass processing, experimenting with new chromatic effects in underwater glass. At the 1960 Biennale he presented the Contrappunti, submerged color tones, which won him the prize for the glass art section. Since then, Antonio Da Ros's works have been presented in various editions of the Milan Biennale and Triennale, as well as in some of the most important international exhibitions around the world. Books not included.
