A rare and elegant pair of Art Deco bronze bookends, created in 1925 by the French artist Andre Gilbert. These striking sculptures depict a dynamic satyr and a graceful nude female figure, both iconic themes of the Art Deco movement.
Each piece is cast in bronze with a green patina, signed A. Gilbert, and numbered. They were produced by the renowned Marcel Guillemard foundry in France, known for high-quality Art Deco casting.
