About the Item
Beautiful vintage French bookends, pair of art deco swan or grebe bookends with a black and white veined marble base, Nero Marquina marble, the swans are made of spelter metal that is bronzed, authentic art deco objects from around the 1930s, marked on the inside of the tail 'Made in France'.
These high quality bookends are real collector's items and art deco objects through and through, they have a sleek, geometric design with striking lines that create a balanced and refined silhouette, the rectangular base with beveled corners is made of elegant black Nero Marquina marble, this type of marble is considered one of the most elegant and sought after natural stones in the world and is widely used in luxury decorative objects.
This pair of bookends are in excellent vintage condition, with signs of age and use consistent with their age, on 1 object there are three small chips from the corners of the marble base, but hardly noticeable, check the photos for more details!
