Just Andersen, Denmark. A pair of Art Deco bookends in "disko" metal featuring Saint George and the Dragon. Model number 1626. From the 1940s. In excellent condition with a nice patina. Marked. Dimensions: 10.0 cm x 9.5 cm. Diskometal is an alloy that has been used for art objects. Its precise composition is unknown, but it consists of tin, lead, and antimony. The alloy, which was invented by Just Andersen, is named after Disko Bay in Greenland.
