Mid-Century Modern Hawaiian Male and Female Bookends, Pair

About the Item

This pair of Hawaiian Mid-Century Modern bookends feature skillfully carved male and female busts that have been coated in a sand/plaster finish further enhancing their antiqued look. The figures were originally lamps and still retain holes if someone wanted to rewire them, for the meantime, the sculptural pair make dramatic bookends.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Busts show signs of age with visible plaster loss (see images) revealing the carved wood beneath. Overall the pair have a great "antique" feel.
