This is a pair of hand-carved elephant bookends. An African ebony decorative book rest, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880. Wonderful decorative bookends with a charming appearance Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout Hand-carved ebony presents deep black tones Large, expressive ears and small eyes marked in bone Dressed to the base with protective green baize This is a delightful pair of antique hand-carved elephant bookends, with superb charm and decorative appeal.
