About the Item

Pair of French Art Deco Bookends signed H Fady in Bronze A delightful pair of bronze and marble bookends that are finely cast with elephants in a naturalistic pose. With a beautifully aged patina and of good quality they stand on black and white veined marble bases. There is green baize underneath each base. Both bookends are signed by the maker H Fady, who operated in the early 1900s. In very good condition with only minor age-related wear. Height: 19 cm Width: 11 cm Depth: 12 cm Circa: 1920
