About the Item
A pair of Grand Tour obelisks. Made of Baccarat crystal. The plinth rests on 4 legs in gilded bronze in the shape of a paw, 4 angel heads, also made of gilded bronze, separate the obelisk from the base. At the center of the sides of the plinth, there is a sculpture depicting a head, also in gilded bronze. At the top of the pyramidal tip of the obelisk, the pyramidion is also made of gilded bronze. Italy, late 19th century.
