About the Item
Standing 32 inches tall, this pair of rock crystal obelisks dates to the 1900s, most likely around the 1950s. The striking quartzes have wonderful clarity, and internal cleavages do not obstruct light passing through. As with most obelisks, these crystals have a tapering shape topped by a well-honed pyramidion. At the base of the columns are two separate moldings, both stepped out, that are placed about four inches apart, with the lower one functioning as a plinth. Our rock crystal obelisks would make wonderful decorative accessories on a console, sofa table, or mantel.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition. Fleabites and slight nicks. Quartz inherently has internal fissures (cleavage), visible in both obelisks. When cleavage reaches surface, secondary mineral deposits can be seen, giving the clear crystal some colored hues.
