We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning, extra large circa 1875 hand painted Romanian clothes trunk or marriage coffer chest with rare base drawer
I have recently purchased a very large collection of these original, antique painted wardrobes and trunks, I have around 15 wardrobes and 20 trunks in total, each one totally different, this sale is for the piece listed above with all others being listed under my other items
This one is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable piece, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout, this one as mentioned has a large base drawer and is overall, extra large in size, this is a wonderfully decorative piece of furniture
Condition wise this chest has all the original paint, finish and hardwear, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe
