Suroy France, Loos Nord, textile company in France, red trunk storage bin with rmetal construction, marked with Suroy Lion brand.
Large Vintage Textile Mill Storage Bin.
An original storage bin salvaged from a North of France Textile mill.
This is a vintage industrial factory trunk box storage and delivery cart.
Made by Suroy loos Nord France, circa 1940's.
Made out of pressed cardboard (looks and feels like leather) with heavy steel riveted rims.

A great large bin for display and storage.
The bin is dark red brownish with beautiful wooden corner supports and carry metal handle at each end.
Ideal for storage or Industrial design look.
In original distressed vintage condition, sturdy and still have a lot of life.
Vintage condition, cracks, breaks, and imperfections.

1940’s Original Suroy industrial storage box.
In 1853 the textile industrial revolution arrived in Loos, Nord France with the formation of the Esquermes factory by Alfred Thirez.
The factories produced cotton thread for sewing and embroidery. Suroy was born from the practical need to provide hard wearing dry, robust containers that could store the textile raw materials. Made from a dusty earth red vulcanised/boiled card with riveted construction and usually (but not always) marked with the Suroy Lion brand.
The Suroy factory was located in Loos-les-Lille in the north of France and was founded in 1902.
