About the Item

This Vintage Cartier travel bag is in remarkably fine condition, probably owing in part to the old original flannel Cartier dust cover that it arrived in from France. But that flannel cover was faded and filthy, and unfortunately I thought maybe I could salvage it with a gentle washing and in process, it all but disintegrated, so it is no longer a case with dust cover. But thankfully, the bag is as close to pristine as a vintage bag could possibly be. It looks brand new. The beautiful signature red Cartier leather is supple and undamaged, as is the suede on this extra large train case-style bag. Don't think it's a makeup carry-on, as it is a full 20" in length and 11.5" x 11.5" when closed for travel. Opens up to easy access for all your weekend's clothing and etc., at a glance (see images). The lock works perfectly and has both original keys still in their original cloak. This one even has the original Cartier luggage tag. Not a bit of wear on anything, including the handles and the bottom and corners of the splendid bag. Stunningly fine inside and out!

Excellent, no flaws to disclose. No odors or stains. The leather is superb and clean, beautiful and undamaged. Includes working lock and the original keys still in their tethered scabbard, and the original leather luggage tag - all CARTIER! I have never seen this piece of Cartier luggage before, and if you're an expert and happen to know the year and model name, please email me and I'll add to the listing. I have had numerous Cartier purses or handbags over time, and can only guesstimate that this is 1950-80s. Experts?
