About the Item

Add classical elegance and practical charm to an entryway or mudroom with this richly carved antique hall tree. Crafted in France circa 1880, the tall and stately piece is built from solid walnut with warm tones and a deep patina. The architectural frame is crowned with finials and a molded cornice, beneath which sits a series of six four double brass coat hooks, perfect for organizing hats and outerwear. A beveled mirror framed by fluted pilasters and four more smaller hat hooks. Below the mirror is a narrow glove drawer flanked by ornate corbels, with a shelf surface ideal for placing keys or other small items. The lower section features carved panels and a decorative brass umbrella rail with a removable drip tray at the base. The hall tree is adorned throughout with Neo-renaissance motifs including fluted columns, acanthus carvings, and stylized floral panels. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, the Napoleon III hall tree is both decorative and highly functional, making it a striking addition to traditional or eclectic interior.
