Traditional Western Ladys Cowgirl Hat "The Barrel Race"r by Eddy Bros Size 6.5

About the Item

Being offered is a traditional Western Lady's Cowgirl Hat "The Barrel Racer" style by Eddy Bros.; vintage circa 1970's; made of felt with a silk ribbon head band. What sets this apart from other stylish hats is the wonderful color. You don't often see this purple color on a western hat---really cool and in very good all original condition (see images). The brim is beautifully and firmly shaped to the desirable western style most people want, typical indentations to the left, right, and top oif the crown; it even "sports" the original multi-colored feather elegantly protruding from the hat band (nice touch). Note the label of origin in gold stenciling on black band to the interior sweatband "The Barrel Racer by Eddy Bros." Eddy Bros western hat makers were established in 1929 specializing in quality western cowboy hats. Size is a lady's small: (not indicated) but it measures 7" front to back of the well; and 6" wide. The circumference around the interior band is 20" which transposes to a size 6 1/2". Overall the hat brim measures 14 1/2" front to back and 13" wide. 6" from the base to the top of the crown.
