About the Item
An English red painted metal magazine rack from the first half of the 20th century, with greyhound or whippet dogs in medallions. Born in England during the 1930s, this exquisite circular magazine rack features medallions on each of its sides, each adorned with scrolling foliage motifs surrounding a central stylized greyhound or whippet dog, joyously running towards a scene invisible to us. Painted in a lovely shade of red, the rack is raised on a base accentuated with scrolling supports. With its small proportions, lovely color and charming décor, this English painted metal magazine rack circa 1930 will bring a joyous decorative touch to any home, particularly in a living room.
