Early 20th Century French Carved Mahogany Folding Bible Book Stand
About the Item
Place a Bible on this antique stand for easy reading! Created in France, circa 1920, and built of mahogany, the Classic book holder sits on round feet over a rectangular base. The stand features a center medallion with a large carved cross flanked with acanthus leaves of both sides; the stand has a pitched back with variable pitching grades and decorated with hand carved scalloped edges motifs. The book rest is in excellent condition with a black and red patina throughout. The folding stand could also be used as a music stand or in a library or study.
