Gorgeous Antique Cushion 18th Century French Magenta Silk Brocade Applied with antique Papal Coat of Arms Pope Pius XI Born in 1857 Was Pope from 1922 to 1939 Within an 18th century Florentine Silver metal braid border Edged with 18th century metallic gold tassel trim upon a ribbon braid Backed with antique dark pink Mohair Velvet This majestic pillow has been hand made incorporating Rare early textiles and has a beautiful time worn faded grandeur appeal Please study photographs carefully as they do form a very important part of the description SIZE 23 inches x 13 inches (59cm x 33cm) S4269 LAYAWAY AVAILABLE FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use Your pillow will be perfectly imperfect.
