PAIR Bespoke Hand Made Pillows The fronts are beautiful Italian Silk Velvet Panel Genoa and Dating from Circa 1800 Voided to reveal the gold silk satin ground . Skillfully Cut in an intricate Garden (Jardiniere) design Featuring the most wonder flowers and foliage Trimmed with a early 18th century Florentine silk tassel fringe and antique gold metallic braid . The pale gold pomegranate brocaded backing is much later The velvet is in very good antique condition, The silk tassel trim is over 250 years old and is good for age and type with some old restorations, which in my opinion only adds to its charm . As with all top quality velvets it changes colour when viewed from difference angles as shown in the photographs Appealing historic, time worn gently faded grandeur that only centuries of age can achieve Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description This lising is for a pair of pillows each measuring SIZE 20 inches x 12 inches (51 cm x 30 cm) S5359 FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use Your pillow will be perfectly imperfect
