About the Item
This hand-crafted pillow was designed by a local Chicago artist and textile historian who lovingly repurposes the vintage fabrics, garments and embroidery fragments she collects during her travels. Down-filled and backed in off-white, this plush throw pillow is faced with a vintage Italian silk brocade and trimmed with gold metallic ribbon. The vintage silk is woven with a multicolor design of flowering branches and swirling clouds against a cherry red field, and has been finished with straight stitching for a subtle quilted texture.
