A study in variegation, Point by Paul Smith explores scale, density, rhythm, color, and proportion in an imaginative display of British fashion. Created in collaboration with the Maharam Design studio, Point is a series of unique but related stripes.
Founded in 1902, Maharam offers a comprehensive collection of textiles for commercial and residential interiors. Maharam pillows feature celebrated textile designs from the 20th and 21st centuries, from re-editions of the work of Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard and Verner Panton to recent collaborations with Hella Jongerius, Paul Smith, Scholten & Baijings, and Studio Job.
Paul Smith (b. 1946, United Kingdom) is a British fashion designer of mens- and womenswear. His trademark designs combine a flair for eccentric detail with a dedication to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Smith began his career as a teenager working in a local clothing warehouse. In 1976, six years after opening his first shop outside of London, he showcased his first official collection in Paris. The Paul Smith label now produces collections sold in over 70 countries worldwide.
