Woven Cushion or Pillow in Art Nouveau Floral Vine Style, 20th Century

About the Item

This is a very attractive woven tapestry pillow or cushion with an Art Nouveau style floral design, which we date to the second half of the 20th century. The Art Nouveau themed design depicts a flowing floral vine pattern with a winding sinuous style, probably inspired by earlier Flemish designs, with colors of brick red, orange, yellow, blue and green, all against a creamy yellow ground and with a piped edge. The back has a fold over envelope type opening, complete with a modern filler cushion insert.
