Cast Iron Passion Flower Two Seat Loveseat Bench After Coalbrookdale Company
About the Item
A rare Cast Iron Bench in the elaborate Passion Flower Pattern. This early botanical design originated in England and was registered in 1862 by the Coalbrookdale Company and was then copied by American foundries. The seat features scrolling curved forms. The arched back is pierced with passion flowers and vines. The end supports terminate with parrot head terminals over cabriole legs. The seat height is 16". Late 19th/early 20th century.
