Awesome Mid-Century Modern bench or daybed in the style of Arthur Umanoff for Madison Furniture Co. Comprised of the original turquoise vinyl faux leather with box stitching and chrome steel legs. In beautiful vintage condition. There is some sun fading on ends of the skirt and a nick in the vinyl on one corner and a few other nicks have been touched up. Please see photos, circa mid-late 20th century. How fabulous is this turquoise bench?? We think it’s absolutely fabulous!!!!! First off, this awesome Mid-Century Modern piece is by Madison Furniture Company in the style of Arthur Umanoff…and it’s remarkably similar to the design of the Series 600 he created for Madison Furniture, but the experts feel as though this may be something they produced some time after that. Either way, it’s manufactured with high-quality and a prestigious reputation. Secondly, it wears its original stunning turquoise vinyl with box stitch design plus the Madison Furniture tags are attached on the base and it has chrome steel legs. Thirdly, it has multi functions! It could easily be used as a bench or a daybed! I can totally visualize you lounging upon it in your Mid-Century Modern ranch or Industrial loft! And because it accents and enhances so many design styles it will fit right in almost any design situation…not just Mid-Century Modern but modern, Industrial, and rustic to modern country too. Madison Furniture was located in Canton, Mississippi and owned by Louis Shornick who started the company in 1953. Arthur Umanoff designed for Madison Furniture from 1962 until sometime after 1973. In 1966 the company merged with Shelby Williams Industries and Mr. Shornick retired several years later. We are in awe of this beauty and we know you must be too…you need to make it yours!! Gorgeous vintage mid-century modern turquoise Lawson style 4 cushion sofa attributed to Milo Baughman for James Inc. Comprised of four loose zippered seat cushions, six tapered walnut legs, and turquoise hopsacking fabric with back button detail. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The sofa deck has new fabric plus a new dust cover. It also has its original arm covers. We repaired a button with fabric found on bottom. It has been professionally shampooed. Legs were refinished. The foam in the cushions is soft, however it could use some more padding and new zippers. Handsome Mid-Century Modern coral vinyl faux leather and aluminum leg chaise lounge or day bed. It is in good vintage condition. The beautiful original coral colored vinyl has many nicks, holes, dings, and tears. But we have repaired a few and if you do not need perfection you could get by using this great colored upholstery. One large repair is in the middle of the head pad. Please see photos. However, we know most will want to reupholster, so it is priced accordingly. Circa mid-20th century. I am looking into the future and I can just imagine you lounging upon this lovely chaise while sipping a cocktail from your mid-century modern bar cart! Or maybe that’s me? No. I think it is you. Well I assume that means you are going to make this fabulous piece yours. It is comprised of four-square tubular brushed aluminum legs which hold it to padded chaise lounge body. It is currently wearing its original gorgeous coral colored vinyl faux leather with nail head detail. Unfortunately, this covering has seen lots of use and you will most likely want to recover. However, we have repaired a few of the boo boos and if you can live with them for a bit you could enjoy this luscious color for a while. It will be fabulous in your mid-century modern home or industrial loft no matter where it is used. We did not find any tags or maker’s name and do not know exactly how this piece started its life. But we can visualize it learning lots of secrets in a psychiatrist office or offering a seat to young starlets in the director’s office. Whatever secrets it holds we know you are smitten as we are. Handsome streamline modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Industrial style royal blue & vinyl or faux leather and chrome chaise or daybed with adjustable head or back rest. Wonderful condition keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so there will be signs of wear & use. The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone. Some may want to recover but repairs are minor & look great, so it is priced accordingly. Please see photos & zoom in for details. We attempt to portray imperfections.
