About the Item
From The Collection of Plácido Domingo, an elegant Italian Rococo style walnut bench featuring cabriole legs, scrolling arms, and delicately carved floral motifs along the apron and knees. The frame has a warm, rich patina and retains its original character with graceful curves and baroque flourishes.
Upholstered in a soft rose-colored velvet with decorative cording and hanging tassels, the seat cushion and padded armrests evoke 18th-century opulence while offering a romantic, feminine aesthetic. The bench remains unmarked but is finely crafted, possibly from a Northern Italian atelier specializing in traditional styles revived in the mid-20th century.
