18th Century Rococo Bergere Chair

About the Item

A high-class and unusually large Rococo bergere chair, made in Stockholm during the 1760s-70s. Known for its exceptional comfort, the chair's substantial dimensions suggest it may have been created for a royal or palace setting. It is a Swedish adaptation of a French model, with beautifully appealing lines and proportions that showcase the elegance of the Rococo style. The wood material is alder and the upholstery is of horsehair.
